The Short Version

Doober collects zero data. Your hourly rate, spending history, and browsing activity never leave your browser. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. We literally cannot see your data because we never built the infrastructure to collect it.

What Data Does Doober Store?

Doober stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

All of this stays on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

What Data Does Doober Send?

None. Doober makes zero network requests. It does not phone home, sync to the cloud, or communicate with any external service.

What Permissions Does Doober Use?

Does Doober Track Browsing History?

No. Doober does not read, record, or transmit your browsing history. It only reads page content to find price patterns.

Does Doober Use Cookies?

No. Doober does not set, read, or modify any cookies.

Third-Party Services

Doober does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The only external interaction is the optional Amazon affiliate tag, which is a URL parameter — not a tracking mechanism.

Amazon Affiliate Links

Doober may add an Amazon Associates tag to Amazon URLs to support development. This tag is only added when no existing affiliate tag is present. You can disable this feature in the extension popup. The affiliate tag does not enable any tracking of your activity.

Children's Privacy

Doober does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The extension stores no personal information beyond what the user explicitly enters (hourly rate).

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the changelog.
