What Doober Is

Doober is a free Chrome browser extension that converts prices on web pages into hours and minutes based on an hourly rate you provide. It also includes a spending dashboard and optional Amazon affiliate links.

Your Data Stays With You

Doober stores all data — your hourly rate, settings, spending history, and site preferences — locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. We don't operate servers that receive your data. We can't see your browsing activity, your hourly rate, or your spending history because that information never leaves your machine.

Amazon Affiliate Links

Doober may add Amazon affiliate tags to Amazon product links to support ongoing development. Doober will never overwrite an existing affiliate tag. If you arrived at an Amazon page through a creator's link, their tag stays. This is how we keep the extension free without selling data or showing ads.

No Warranties

Doober is provided "as is." We do our best to keep price detection accurate across websites, but we can't guarantee it'll catch every price on every page. Currency detection depends on page formatting. The spending dashboard is an estimate, not a financial record — don't use it for tax purposes or budgeting down to the penny.

What You Shouldn't Do

Don't reverse-engineer, repackage, or redistribute Doober. Don't use it to build a competing product. Standard stuff.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of Doober after changes means you accept the new terms. For major changes, we'll note it in the changelog.
